We've had some storms this past week, both literally and metaphorically. While we're savoring each moment together and making up for lost time, the stress of Trevor's unemployment is taking its toll.

We're fortunate enough to be living here with my mom while Trevor's unit outprocesses him; a step necessary in order to begin a new contract as an active duty airman. He's had to resubmit his request twice now, and it appears he'll need to apply once more, as his forms are getting lost (most likely in someone's desk) back at his duty station. All of this frustrates the natural-born worrier in me.

With that said, the time we have left here in California is limited. The all-present, altogether time is running out and pretty soon Trev will be back at work and David and I will be spending less of our day with him. So while it's a bit stressful to walk into the unknown and bear the occasional storm, we're reminding ourselves to seize the opportunity to jump in the puddles in our paths.
